 Milos Slorpil – Czech Republic

·         2x run around the Czech Republic ~ 1365 km (in 2000 and 2006)

·         Running from Prague to Vienna (~ 300 km) within three days (2000)

·         Across the Czech Republic (from Hodonin to As, 500 km) in 76 hours (2002)

·         Prague to Snezka (Giant Mountains) in 22 hours and 40 minutes (2003)

·         Mountains run from Pec pod Cechovem to Pec pod Snezkou over Snezka (Giant Mountains) in four days (2007)

·         Dresden to Prague (2008)

·         I won twice the Czech Republic championship in 24 hours run (1991, 1999)

·         4. position in the World Championship in 24 hours run – 1992 Basle

·         Member of the silver team in European Championship in 24 hours run – 1993 Basle

·         Successfully finished Spartathlon (246 km from Athens to Sparta) in 32 hours 48 min (limit 36 hours), in 2002 finished only 89 from 240 runners

Henry Kiprono Kirwa

Made history by becoming the first Kenyan ever to win 3 gold medals in Paralympics games, In 5000 meters class T13/T12, 1500 meters class T13/12 and the 10,000 meters class T12/T11.

 2007, he participated in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and won Silver medal 1500M, Silver medal 5,000M and Bronze medal 10,000M.In the Same year he was also invited to the same place in Brazil for the second race and won Gold Medal in 1500M as a qualifying time for Paralympics in Beijing, China in 2008 Henry K.Kirwa, was awarded the Best athlete of year to the UN in Kenya and the Judicial Ambassador to UNDP in Kenya

Richard Whitehead

World Record Holder for half and full Marathon for double leg amputees, Records are 1 hour 18 minutes and 47 seconds set on 6th September 2009 in Bristol and 2 hours 50 minutes and 38 seconds set on 11th October 2009 at the Chicago Marathon.  Both these times broke World Records Richard himself had set earlier this year.

He remains the only leg amputee, single or double, to have broken 3 hours for the marathon

Since he started competing in Marathons in 2004, Richard has competed in events around the globe ranging from New York to Berlin to Cape Town to Beirut, raising £1000’s along the way for worthwhile causes

Team GB Paralympian Turin 2006 in Sledge Hockey

Has also competed internationally at Cricket and Swimming.

Richard is a congenital double amputee, who hopes to compete at the London Paralympics in 2012 and raise awareness for disabled sport across the UK and wider world.
