EVERY PAIR COUNTS!
After last year's successful launch, the "Donate Your Running Shoes" (DYRS) program is back for its second edition!
DYRS is a program that aims at providing running shoes to underprivileged people, mainly youth. This is done by distributing donation boxes across Lebanon; schools, universities, malls, retail sports shops, gyms… where any person can donate their old pair of running shoes. These shoes will then be cleaned, wrapped and classified according to size and gender.
Next, our partnered NGOs will be working to distribute them according to the needs in various regions.
The last step will be to bring in the biggest possible number of children from all over Lebanon, and who received the shoes, to participate in the Beirut Marathon Fun Run in November –courtesy of the DYRS program.
In 2015, we were victorious in collecting and distributing more than 642 in just a few months, this year we have upped the stakes with a target of 1500 pairs of shoes!
