VIP and Media
Coming from South, North and Bekaa pass the same roads as the participants to reach BIEL; available parking is assigned for them at Beirut WaterFront.
In Case of emergency
For those of you who may require access to the airport, there will be gates located along the course at main intersections for temporary car passage. Also note that the Salim Slem Road from Downtown towards the airport is open at all times on Race Day.
For those who are heading to a hospital, those same road gates will also open for emergency cases. In case you have any worries or concerns, our Operations Room is available from 6am on Race day to guide you for any directions needed on 70-898151.
Baggage Handling Services
Runners can put their bags in baggage trucks located in each gathering area at the Start. These trucks will change their locations to the Post-Finish line on Martyr’s Square. All runners can pick up their bags from the trucks located after the finish line at martyr’s Square. Runners who do not pick up their bags on Race Day can check at the BMA office. After two weeks, all bags will be given to NGO’s.
Baggage Handling Terms & Conditions
The Organizer will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, whether personal or otherwise, for belongings and items deposited at Baggage Truck. The Organizer also reserves the right to examine contents of any Event Day Bag deposited at the Baggage Truck.

It’s all about running in this year’s BBBM relay race. Live the glory of the marathon by taking it on as a team. The BMA is encouraging teams to participate in the relay race and conquer the 42.195k challenge. Advanced and novice runners will run together in spirit and in mind to cover the marathon distance of 42.195k.

Meeting Point: Forum de Beyrouth
Each runner has the option to take the transportation provided or independently make his or her way to the station. Runners can park cars in Forum’s parking lot. In case a runner misses the bus, he/she has to find hi/her way to the station. Baggage: The same bus will transport runner to and from station. Bags can be left on buses which can be collected upon the return to the forum.
Relay and Marathon Runners
Those who are running the first stage of the relay will line up behind marathon runners. Marathon or 42.195k runners have priority over the relay runners along the course. Relay runners are not allowed to obstruct the route for marathon runners at any time.
Point of Exchange at Relay Stations
There are 10 meters before or after the relay arch where runners are allowed to exchange the relay stick/ baton with their teammate. The baton must be exchanged between team members inside this zone ONLY. DO NOT CROSS BACK OVER THE TIMING MAT. This action will erase the electronically recorded running time.
There are water stations at each relay exchange point. There will be other water, sponge, food and Gatorade stations along the course. The course map provides the specific station locations. At the end of each leg of the race, the runner collects his or her goodie bag and relay medal.

the road closure
About 40,000 runners are expected for the BLOM BANK BEIRUT MARATHON on Sunday November 13 and while runners trot through the course, others may have a harder time getting around specific areas in the City of Beirut In coordination with the security forces and concerned officials, the following streets will be closed Sunday between 6 a.m. and 2:00 p.m ( They open gradually)

Start Line Parking
Go to Borj Al Ghazal where the BMA team will direct you to the VIP/Guest parking facing the Armenian Cathedral in Saifi Village.
Getting from the Start Line parking to The Finish Line Parking:
From the VIP/Guest parking facing the Armenian Cathedral at the Start Area in Saifi Village, turn left out of the parking to go out of Saifi Village to get to Borj Al Ghazal. Turn right taking the Fouad Chehab Bridge. Go to Manara. Turn right at Monroe Hotel and go to the parking behind Porsches.
Getting from the Finish Line Parking to the Start Line Parking
From the VIP/Guest parking behind Porsches at the Finish Area, turn right out of the parking and then turn left at the Four Seasons Hotel, going against traffic. Go under the tunnel at the Phoenicia Hotel going to Borj Al Ghazal where the BMA traffic team will direct you to the parking in Saifi Village.
The BBBM 2016 venues and race courses are divided into zones. Only those with specific race passes can access the different zones.
An Awards Ceremony for the Marathon overall winners, Marathon overall special needs winners, and Lebanese overall winners will take place at the Finish Area at Martyr’s Square next to the VIP tent. At 11:30 AM.
An Awards Ceremony for all Marathon Categories is also scheduled on RACE DAY at 7:00 p.m. at the "Lancaster Plaza Hotel-Raouche".
Awards ceremonies for remaining categories to be announced.
