The safety and wellbeing of every participant remains our highest priority at the Spinneys Beirut Marathon 2026. A comprehensive medical and emergency response plan will be in place throughout the course and at the start and finish areas to ensure immediate assistance whenever needed.

  • The Lebanese Red Cross will deploy more than 40 ambulances strategically positioned across the course, at the start, and around the finish-line area.

  • LAU Mobile Clinics, along with additional mobile medical clinics from affiliated hospitals, will also be stationed at key locations along the route and at the finish line.

  • In partnership with the Order of Physiotherapists, more than 80 physicians will be available along the course and at the finish area to provide support and assistance to runners.

  • In addition, 20 medical bikes will patrol the course, allowing medical teams to respond quickly to any incident.

  • Our dedicated Race Operations Room (70 898 151) will remain operational throughout race day to coordinate and respond to any emergency.

Race-day safety will be further reinforced through the presence of Internal Security Forces (ISF) personnel responsible for road closures, traffic management and public safety, as well as Lebanese Army personnel deployed along the course.

More than 1,500 volunteers will be spread across the event, course, start and finish areas, and gathering points to guide, support and assist participants. Beirut Marathon Association (BMA) staff, marshals and cyclists will also be positioned throughout the route to monitor the course and provide assistance whenever required. To provide an additional layer of protection, all registered runners are covered by insurance in the event of a medical emergency requiring hospital admission. Together, this integrated network of medical professionals, emergency services, security personnel, volunteers and race officials ensures that every runner can take on the Spinneys Beirut Marathon 2026 with confidence, knowing that a comprehensive safety system is in place from start to finish.
